I wanted to say to you that you are so right in what you say about the disease. My baby brother hung himself on February 15, 2009 and he too had the same as your Amy. I attend a support group here in Missouri and I find that most of the families their we all share the same similarities.

My prayers are with you and your family I know what you are going through and the struggles your feeling. Please give your son a hug I can only imagine the heart break he has felt. I know how hard of a time I have had as a sister.

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, May 27, 2005, at St. Bernard Catholic Church in Breaux Bridge for Amy Lynn Melerine Vice, 21, who died Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in Breaux Bridge.

Amy was a student at U.L. of Lafayette majoring in Pre-Law, and was also on the Dean's list. She was a member of the Pre-Professional Society. She was employed at Charlie G's, and had previously worked at CafÚ des Amis in Breaux Bridge for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Eric Vice of Breaux Bridge; her fathers, Louis Melerine of Chalmette and John Terry Malorin of Butte LaRose; her mother, Angela V. Dore of Parks; her paternal grandfather, Manuel Melerine, Sr. of Slidell; her grandparents, Elsie and John Malorin of Butte LaRose; two brothers, Jessie Melerine and Louis Melerine, Jr., both of Chalmette; six sisters, Charlotte Melerine, Tara Melerine and Lori Melerine, all of Chalmette, Heidi Valadez of Breaux Bridge, Jamie Valadez of Seattle, WA, and her twin sister, April Melerine of Lafayette.

The family requested that visiting hours be observed from 10 AM ~ 10 PM on Thursday and continue at 7 AM on Friday until time of service.

Pallbearers will be Jessie Melerine, Louis Melerine, Jr., Jake Dore, Matt Thomas, Dominic Lebougeois, and Brandon Touchet.

Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge is in charge of arrangements.

Happy 2nd Wedding Anniversary  / Karen Vice (mom-in-law)

I sit here thinking what might have been. Wondering if by now had things been different ...would I be a grandmother? Would you be happy? I have been having a rough weekend my mind is working over time with the what if's. I sit here in tears wishing there were no what if's wishing the past almost 2 years has been a nightmare that I will awaken from . I know that will not happen but I will always have the precious memories of you and  that beautiful smile that as I have always said is A "Daisy Smile" . I miss you and will always love you. There is a hole in my heart since you left that perhaps time will help heal.

Hi, I'm just a passerby who wants to offer my condolences on the death of your daughter-in-law Amy.  What a beautiful website for a beautiful girl.  I am so sorry for your loss.

This must be devastating for your son Eric.  I will pray that God gives him strength to get through this.  I am assuming Amy had depression or some mental disease, and I hope Eric understands that and doesn't blame himself.  God bless you all.

Amy is so blessed for having you as her mother in law. I don't know Amy personally but what I can see is so kind, adorable sweet and loving. Thank you so much for loving her as your daughter-in-law. Me too is blessed with with a mother-in-law like you so warm and loving - so sad she died last  Dec. 12, 2006. Like you I would like to give a tribute to her that's why i came across your tribute to Amy. Can you tell how she died? How is your son now? Do they have children?.
